Music therapists seek state recognition

Florida Hospital Orlando music therapist Antonio Milland strummed his guitar and sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" while stroke patient Tyson Brandt grasped a mallet with two hands and tapped a paddle drum. "Take a big breath in," Milland said as Brandt, 48, smiled and leaned forward in his wheelchair toward the drum. "You're doing great," said Rich Abante Moats, coordinator of the hospital's music-therapy program, as she held the drum steady in front of Brandt.
