A note: Broome (21.3 ppg) is one of the top guards in the league.

A note: Defense and low-scoring games will be the foundations of victories.

FARMINGTON

A note: Pollack averaged 16.6 points, 13.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 blocks.

A note: Lost four starters and lack experienced scorers.

HARTFORD PUBLIC

A note: Look for a big season from the 6-7 Jallow, who avearaged 10 points and 10 rebounds last year.

A note: With the two Edwards and others the Spartans are quick and can pressure opposing guards well.

MANCHESTER

A note: Edwards and Walker contribute to an up-tempo offense.

MIDDLETOWN

A note: The Blue Dragons will need to utilize its speed and tenacity to off set its lack of height.

NEW BRITAIN

A note: Transfers Sheveran Hardy and Devonne Nolan add to a deep and improved team.

NORTHWEST CATHOLIC-WEST HARTFORD

A note: Will be solid in the backcourt with point guard Lewis and company and strong when Iverson is on the court.

A note: Eagles are inexperienced, but have versatility that could aid them on both ends of the floor.

A note: Warriors are a little short on height, but will counter that with aggressive traps and effort on the glass.

CAPITAL PREP-HARTFORD

A note: The Trailblazers are formidable in the backcourt with Dukes and Gillespie.

CHENEY TECH-MANCHESTER

A note: Should be strong inside, but will be challenged to duplicate 16 victories.

A note: Miazga averaged 9 points and eight rebounds, and the team has speed and can shoot it well.

A note: The Falcons are deep and have guards who can shoot well.
