What To Watch
Injury status: Daniels, who sprained his ankle vs. Rutgers, has not practiced but will test his injury in the shoot-around this afternoon. Omar Calhoun sat out last game with an ankle sprain but is expected back.
Revenge match: The Huskies lost their AAC debut at Houston, playing a terrible first half, coming from 21 points behind to take the lead before losing down the stretch. UConn can't afford another loss to Houston and looks to play well from the get-go in this game.
Must contain Thomas: Houston's Thomas is one of the best all-around players in the league and he hurt UConn last time. If Daniels does not play, he becomes much more dangerous, putting the onus on Brimah, Phil Nolan and Tyler Olander to match him inside.
Cougar break: Houston burned UConn with its fastbreak last time; the Huskies will try to keep them in a halfcourt game on Thursday night.
Late might: Coincidence or not, UConn is 0-3 in 9 p.m. starts. Perhaps the Huskies will change their routine during the day.
