(November 18, 2013)

I saw Tom Foley’s little ad on New York television inviting New Yorkers to move to Connecticut because of progressive Bill DeBlasio’s victory for mayor ending with “I’m Tom Foley and I approve this message."  We’re going to hear a lot of that in the months ahead.

There are several reasons for me not to vote for Tom Foley that have nothing to do with his driving habits or being a failed Republican candidate in 2010. My biggest problem with Foley is that he’s another zillionaire trying to buy his way into the highest office in the state. I know, I’m being unfair to zillionaires. It would be much easier for me to vote for State Senator John McKinney or Mark Boughton, the Mayor of Danbury. We'll see who the GOP puts out there in 2014. Foley has to get through a primary first no matter how much money he has and I hope Connecticut's Republicans have finally wised up.
