Three new exhibits open on Monday, Nov. 4, at the galleries in the libraries at the University of Connecticut in Storrs.
This is a detail of an artwork that is part of the exhibit “Autumn Through Caribbean Eyes” in the Norman D. Stevens Gallery in the Homer Babbidge Library. It features work by Bloomfield-based Guyanese-American artist Stanwyck Cromwell.
“Places and Faces: Near and Far,” in the Gallery on the Plaza at the Babbidge, features nature scenes, historical buildings and portraits by retired Coventry school art teacher Scott Rhoades.
In “Journeys Home: Selections from the Malka Penn Children’s Book Collection on Human Rights,” in the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center Gallery, focuses on illustrations from children’s books that focus on human rights issues.
