New England Air Museum, 36 Perimeter Road (off Route 75) on the North end of the Bradley International Airport airfield in Windsor Locks, will hold its annual Santa Visit & Behind the Scenes Tour on Friday, Nov. 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Santa will give a gift to each child.
The ‘Behind-the-Scenes’ tours will let visitors look at restoration projects, including the P-51D Mustang Racer, the Douglas DC-3 passenger aircraft, the Boeing B-29 Superfortress, a U.S. Navy Blimp Car from WWII, Burnelli CBY-3 and several vintage engines and more.
Also, the Museum’s new Flight Sim Spot exhibit simulates the flying of an aircraft, using the same cockpit controls pilots use.
The museum will be open that day from 10 a.m. to 5 pm. Admission is $12, $11 seniors, $6.50 ages 4 to 11. Children under 3 are free.
