Poetry of the Wild, the series of public art installations started by poet-artist Ana Flores, is celebrating its tenth anniversary on Wednesday, Sept. 25, with an event from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mystic Arts Center, 9 Water St. in Mystic.
Poetry in the Wild, in which sculptors create boxes to hold poems written by themselves or someone else, has been installed in Rhode Island, Colorado, England, and in southeastern Connecticut, in locations including Mystic, New London and Groton.
The event will include a reading of poems featured in the boxes and an auction of selected poetry boxes.
