In connection with the exhibit “Medieval to Monet,” the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, 600 Main St. in Hartford, will present a lecture by Richard Brettell, a scholar of Impressionist and French painting.
The lecture will be Thursday, Jan. 10, at 6 p.m. A reception will be held before the lecture, from 5 to 6 p.m.
“Outdoor Art: Impressionist Painting Without a Studio” will focus on how Impressionists shocked urban audiences with its raw view of landscapes.
