Two well-known politicians will be among the guests this Sunday on "The Real Story'' on FOX CT.
Donovan will be stepping down as the House Speaker after his current term expires in January 2013, and insiders expect that House Majority Leader Brendan Sharkey will take over the top spot in the Democratic-controlled chamber.
On the Republican side, state Sen. Andrew Roraback - who represents 15 towns in Litchfield County - announced in his hometown of Goshen on Thursday that he, too, is running in the 5th District. Roraback, who has never missed a vote while serving in the statehouse, is now running against four other Republicans in the crowded field: former FBI supervisor Mike Clark of Farmington, former lieutenant governor candidate Lisa Wilson-Foley of Simsbury, business executive Mark Greenberg, and Afghanistan war veteran Justin Bernier.
On the Democratic side, Donovan is facing Elizabeth Esty, Dan Roberti, and Mike Williams.
Donovan is scheduled to appear in the first segment on the show, while former Gov. John G. Rowland will be in the final segment on the death penalty.
State education commissioner Stefan Pryor and former top corporate executive Ramani Ayer will speak during the second segment on education reform.
The program will air on Sunday morning on FOX CT before the 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. news, and it will be replayed on the Sunday night loop on the CT-N public affairs network.
