Hartford painter Ethan Boisvert, a 2002 graduate of the Hartford Art School at University of Hartford, will create an artwork live on stage on Sunday, April 28, during a marathon musical performance by the Hartt School’s chamber music troupe.
Obviously, this isn't the artwork he will create on Sunday (ha ha). But it is a good example of Boisvert’s signature style. I got it off his website.
The show by Performance 20/20, the hardest-working musical group in the capitol region, will run from 2 to 9 p.m. in The Hartt School’s Berkman Recital Hall at University of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Ave. in West Hartford.
From 2 to 4 p.m., Boisvert will do his thing, creating a huge painting as the musicians play work by Scott Macallister, Amy Beach and Thomas Schuttenhelm.
Maybe next year they can talk Boisvert into painting for all seven hours of the concert. Or doing a relay paint-a-thon with other artists.
Admission is free.
