Connecticut Ballet will present its first subscription season at Stamford Center for the Arts’s Palace Theater and the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts’s Belding Theater in Hartford beginning in the fall.
The company’s 32nd season will open with artistic director Brett Raphael’s production of “Cinderella,” at the Belding Oct. 5 and 6 at 2 p.m The production, with a score by Sergei Prokofiev, will be presented in Stamford Oct. 12 at 2 and 7:30 p.m.
The company will present “The Nutcracker” for four matinee performances — Dec. 14, 15, 21 and 22 — in Stamford, with guest stars from American Ballet Theatre. “Be My Valentine,” featuring love duets from the company repertory, will be presented Feb. 8 at the Belding. The season will close with a revival of the 19th century romantic ballet, “Giselle,” with a guest star to be announced, on April 26 and April 27 at 2 p.m. at the Belding and May 3 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. at the Palace.
