UConn acting grad James Barry (Broadway’s “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson”) is featured in the cast in the world premiere of “These Paper Bullets” at Yale Repertory Theatre in New Haven March 14 to April 5.
Rolin Jones’ modern musical music-world adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” features new songs by Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Jackson Gay directs the show which is set in ‘60s Liverpool.
Also featured are David Wilson Barnes (Broadway’s “The Lieutenant of Inishmore”), Bryan Fenkart (Broadway’s “Memphis”), Lucas Papaelias (Broadway’s “Once”), Jabari Brisport, Stephen DeRosa, Ceci Fernandez, Christopher Geary, Brad Heberlee, Anthony Manna, Brian McManamon, Andrew Musselman, Keira Naughton, Adam O’Byrne. James Lloyd Reynolds, Jeanine Serralles, Greg Stuhr, Ariana Venturi and Liz Wilson.
This high profile show features sets by Michael Yeargan, choreography by Monica Bill Barnes and orchestrations and arrangements by Tom Kitt, who won a Tony Award for his work in adapting Armstrong’s songs for Broadway’s “American Idiot,” based on the Green Day album.
