MUSKEGON—A Muskegon man died when his motorcycle hit a truck parked outside a Muskegon business Sunday afternoon.
The crash occurred at 12:51 p.m. Sunday. According to the Muskegon Police Department, witnesses said a 40-year-old Muskegon man was riding his motorcycle westbound on Laketon Avenue approaching Smith Street when he slowly began moving across the eastbound traffic lanes before the motorcycle went up and over a curb and struck a large moving truck parked in the lot outside a business.
The rider was taken to Mercy General Health Partners and was airlifted to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids where he later died. The rider's name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
