A Coca-Cola tractor trailer jackknifed Friday afternoon, causing major delays in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Broward.

The accident happened at 3:15 p.m. just north of Sheridan Street, according to the Florida Department of Transportation website.

Law enforcement blocked the four left southbound lanes, allowing traffic to pass only in the two right lanes, according to the department. As of 4:15 p.m., traffic was backed up to Oakland Park Boulevard.

Information about the tractor trailer's driver, whether other vehicles were involved in the accident and the cause of the accident was not immediately known.
