Comment: Recorded 2,238 all-purpose yards, 36 touchdowns and had 17 interceptions. She led the Gators (16-2) to District 16 championship and state semifinals for first time since 2007. Also led Nemesis, a core group of players from Palm Beach Gardens, to the AAU/ESPN girls' flag football national championship in the high school division at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Orlando. "Bottom line with Brigitte was that whether our team needed her on offense, defense or special teams, she was a playmaker. Her drive for wanting to win was the key to our team's success," said Palm Beach Gardens coach Jim O'Connor.

Athlete's quote: "Before high school, I wasn't even thinking about playing flag football. I had played basketball, volleyball and soccer. So I was just happy to have a position on the team. I really don't overthink things. I just do what coach tells me to do. A big goal of mine was to keep getting better and keep working quarterback drills with coach. But I could not have imagined this. It is surprising to me that I got Player of the Year."
