  • A 'Boo!'-tiful thing: Television scares up Halloween treats

OK, now, don't be scared: Some networks have been celebrating Halloween already, but here comes the real trick-or-treat deal. The new week begins on the eve of the annual visits from little candy-seeking goblins and witches -- along with the occasional...
  • Zooey Deschanel is the 'New Girl' in Fox's comedy lineup

Maybe "New Girl" could have been made without Zooey Deschanel, but it's hard to imagine. Virtually no other current performer so perfectly embodies the kooky, endearing quality required by the Fox sitcom that debuts Tuesday, Sept. 20. "I would like to...
  • 'Our Idiot Brother'

    'Our Idiot Brother'
Paul Rudd has the less-than-glorified title role in this comedy carried largely by the skill of its cast. Newly paroled, the sibling seeks shelter with each of his three sisters (Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer), invariably causing...

  • Hooked on Tuesday's Lineup

I know I’m an X-factor fanatic, but you may be surprised to hear my favorite night of TV isn’t Wednesday.  It’s true…I can’t miss X-factor and my DVR always records Modern Family, but I’m falling in love with Tuesday....

Lamorne Morris of 'New Girl' comes home to Chicago
Lamorne Morris says everyone on "New Girl" breaks character while filming Fox's hit sitcom. But the Chicago native who plays even-keeled Winston cracks up the most. "Whenever Jake and Max have a conversation, I don't want to be in that scene. I'm ruining...
