Is Hillary Clinton's voice shrill? Or is that a sexist question — considering it's never directed at Donald Trump — that shouldn't be asked in the first place?
The answer, according to the world's leading soprano is: It depends.
Opera great Renee Fleming — creative consultant to the Lyric Opera — told the Tribune, "My daughter was a gender studies major so she'd say 'yes, it's sexist.' "
But as a trained singer attuned to listening closely to every voice she hears, Fleming said that, to her ear, Clinton can at times sound "a little harsh."
"There's a sensitivity there with women," she acknowledged.
