NBC didn't exactly soar in the ratings Thursday night with its three-hour live telecast "Peter Pan Live!"
The event program, which starred Allison Williams as the iconic children's character and Christopher Walken as Captain Hook, scored a 2.3 rating among adults ages 18 to 49 and about 9.1 million total viewers, according to preliminary national estimates from Nielsen.
While the numbers are solid, they are also disappointing. The viewership was about half of what last year's "The Sound of Music Live" telecast brought in--which clocked in at a 4.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and nearly 19 million viewers.
