UPDATED: In delivering an amazing Super Bowl, the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks made ratings history, NBC said Monday. The game averaged 114.4 million viewers, making it the most-watched program in U.S. TV history. It surpasses last year's Super Bowl, the previous record holder, by 2.2 million. Sunday's big game was also the highest-rated Super Bowl since 1986. The game put up a 47.5 rating. In 1986, the game put up a 48.3 rating.
