  1. Television review: Kelsey Grammer in 'Boss'

There is something essentially likable about Kelsey Grammer as a performer. That broad scholar-like forehead, the strong jaw and mild blue eyes all conspire to create the image of a sometimes bumbling but still powerful guy, best embodied by his most lasting character, Frasier Crane. This ability to project opposing forces is one reason Grammer has been so successful in comedy — he can play the fool and still remain an alpha male. It's also why he is now able to breathe life into Frasier Crane's hard-hearted doppelganger, Chicago Mayor Tom Kane, who is the centerpiece of Starz's new political drama "Boss."

  7. Have your 2011-12 TV shows been canceled?

CBS has canceled "CSI: Miami" after 10 seasons, making it the first show in the "CSI" franchise to end. With the networks announcing their Fall 2012 TV schedules this week, I thought I'd create a master list of the current shows that have been canceled or have ended their runs. I'll update as I learn of more.

  9. "Touch" gets to Kiefer Sutherland

Kiefer Sutherland runs through a packed Grand Central Station, dodging bystanders and scanning the crowd for suspicious activity. The minutes fly by — seen in frequent close-ups of ticking clocks — drawing closer to a potentially explosive moment. Sutherland confronts a guy on a public phone, spins him around and starts punching.

The final episode of <a href="http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/tv/house/EP00688359">"House"</a> brought back just about everybody (with one big exception) who's played a significant role on the show and presented us with a "This Is Your Life" sort of story for its central character.
