The Chicago film fest fetes Patrick Stewart

Sir Patrick Stewart, “Star Trek: The Next Generation” commander, “X-Men” franchisee and a stalwart of the London and Broadway stage, is scheduled to receive the Chicago International Film Festival’s annual Gold Hugo career achievement award, festival officials announced Thursday.

The tribute, Oct. 25 at the downtown AMC River East theaters, will be highlighted by an on-stage discussion (with film clips) canvassing the 77-year-old actor’s career. The 53rd festival runs Oct. 12-26.
