    Acquiring credentials for the Super Bowl proved to be a somewhat time-consuming task and a fruitless one. After several weeks of waiting, turning in photos, curriculum vitae, blood samples, etc., I was told in no uncertain terms that while I would be given week-of-game credentials, I would not be getting within a mile of Sun Life Stadium on game day. The reasons behind this decision were never properly explained. The lack of space in the press room to allow for a correspondent from City Link, a paper that, admittedly, lacks a bit in national import, was likely a deciding factor. I felt certain that my own checkered history with NFL games and the coverage thereof played little, if any, role in the decision, and the story of my ejection from a Dolphins-Vikings game for drunk and disorderly, making terroristic threats or the simple hubris of a stadium security agent will have to wait for another day.
