Early showers were quickly overcome, as the second annual Glastonbury Food Truck Festival took place on Aug. 4 and 5 at the Elks Club in South Glastonbury .
Rain poured down as the festival opened on Saturday morning, but by midafternoon the rain had stopped, giving way to high temps and plenty of humidity, or as some called it, good eating weather.
"I'm actually shocked by how many people are here," said Elks Club president Dave Bassette, as he and other helpers spread hay to absorb the mud.
