    Moodus lost a son 70 years ago, and on Saturday, Nov. 8, his friends, neighbors and those who just wanted to pay their respects came together at Hadlyme Congregational Church on Rte. 82 to honor his memory. Included in that group were members of the historic First School Society and fellow graduates of Hale Ray High School, like local resident Charlie Farrow, who have never forgotten Private Melvin Baron.
