Combine the energy of a cheerleader with endless optimism and a sense of fun and you will have a sense of the woman who, for years, was the public voice of many of Hartford's premier cultural institutions.
She lived by her motto: "If it's not fun, I'm not going to do it, so make it fun."
Fran Gordon died May 24 at in her home in West Hartford of heart failure. She was a few months shy of her 90th birthday.
