Post-Funk's The Main Squeeze At Arch Street Tavern

The Main Squeeze formed at Indiana University in 2010. It's been playing its dance-friendly soul-funk to crowds at bars, festivals and venerable rock venues nationwide since then.

The Main Squeeze plays feel-good, positive-vibe groove music, with a sound that's steeped in Curtis Mayfield and Stevie Wonder with nods to DMB. Vocalist Corey Frye has enough of a gritty growl, with velvety flourishes and up-in-the-clouds high-note-hitting to keep up with the funky organ blasts and jammy guitar riffs. This is exuberant music. Fans of Cee Lo Green, Earth Wind and Fire, Living Colour, and D'Angelo will likely find elements of this band to connect with.
