  • Concert review: Wilco at the Fillmore Miami Beach, Monday, March 22, 2010

Certain things are a given at a Wilco show: The band will dive deeply into a catalog that ranks among the best rock ’n’ roll efforts of the past 15 years, playing audience favorites as readily as songs even its most-ardent fans may have forgotten existed. Clueless concertgoers will shout requests for songs by Uncle Tupelo, the pioneering alt-country act frontman Jeff Tweedybelonged to before forming Wilco in the early ’90s. The kinetic, tall-as-a-sequoia Nels Cline (no relation) will inspire the guitarists in the crowd to scuttle home and practice. And Tweedy, the band’s main songwriter, resident humorist and passive-aggressive conscience, will scold the audience for some perceived breach of concert etiquette.
