Harold Ramis' widow cuts asking price for mansion

The widow of comedy director, actor and writer Harold Ramis gave the couple's longtime six-bedroom, 8,357-square-foot mansion in Glencoe its first price cut on Friday, knocking more than $100,000 off the asking price of the mansion, now available for $2.495 million. Ramis died last year at age 69 after battling autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis. His widow, Erica, placed the 15-room vine-covered mansion up for sale for $2.6 million on June 4. About 10 days later, the mansion went under contract, but the deal fell through and the mansion was relisted. The Ramises paid $1.9 million in 1996 for the sprawling mansion.
