    'Fun Home,' 'An American in Paris' lead Tony nominations
    “Fun Home,” the moving new musical with a book and lyrics by Lisa Kron, music by Jeanine Tesori and the subject of the early family life of lesbian cartoonist Alison Bechdel, was nominated for a 2014-15 best musical Tony Award Tuesday, where it will compete against  “The Visit,” a macabre musical with a book by Terrence McNally and a score by John Kander and the late Fred Ebb that began its winding road to Broadway at the Goodman Theatre. Other new-musical nominees announced Tuesday were the comedic romp “Something Rotten!,” and the balletic “An American in Paris,” produced by the Chicago-based Stuart Oken and directed and choreographed by the Tony-nominated Christopher Wheeldon.
