Rupert Grint to make stage debut as a gangster in 'Mojo' revival

Rupert Grint, best known for playing ginger-haired wizard Ron Weasley in the "Harry Potter" films, will make his stage debut as a pill-popping thug.

Producers announced Friday that Grint will join the cast of Jez Butterworth's "Mojo," opening at London's West End later this year.

Ben Whishaw, Daniel Mays and "Downton Abbey's" Brendan Coyle round out the cast in the revival about London's underbelly in 1950s.

Ian Rickson, who helmed the "Mojo" original 1995 production at the Royal Court Theatre, will direct.
