Students take part in Serve-A-Thon

More than 300 students and other volunteers from the seven Firewall Centers in Broward spent a recent Saturday making a difference in the community. The teens took part in the second annual Serve-A-Thon, a series of beautification projects coordinated by the Davie-based group with the help of Leadership Broward members. "We could not have asked for a better event," said Andy Fernandez, Firewall's executive director. "Four years ago, we basically had one center with 40 kids.
