Teachers spend summer in STEM externships

Seven Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics teachers from the School District of Palm Beach County spent part of their summer on a month-long paid externship, gaining real-world experience to bring back to their classrooms. Participating corporations include Florida Power & Light Co.'s Information Management team and their Manatee Education Center in Riviera Beach, sugar producer Florida Crystals, Lockheed Martin, NCCI and the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium.
