Achievement First Hartford Put On Probation

HARTFORD — The State Board of Education renewed the charter for Achievement First Hartford Academy Wednesday for a shorter period than normal — three years instead of five — and placed the school on probation for the next year.

Following the recommendation of state Department of Education staff, the board gave the approval with instructions that the charter school must reduce its rate of student suspensions and improve its compliance with teacher certification regulations.
