Students From Puerto Rico To Start Classes At CCSU Wednesday

About 20 students from hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico are expected to a begin an eight-week term of classes on Wednesday at Central Connecticut State University.

CCSU President Zulma R. Toro, a former chancellor and graduate of the University of Puerto Rico, and her staff designed the special program for students of UPR to ensure that students are able to continue their education without interruption while the university and the island recovers from Hurricane Maria.

Toro said that if the students also enroll in CCSU’s four-week term that starts Dec. 26, they will end up with a full semester’s worth of credits.
