University at Buffalo lands $16 million health grant

The University at Buffalo has landed a $16 million, four-year grant from the National Institutes of Health to speed the delivery of new drugs and medical devices to patients. The university will establish the UB Clinical and Translational Research Center in partnership with Roswell Park Cancer Institute, the Great Lakes Health System and other local organizations. The Clinical and Translational Science Award puts the Buffalo group into an elite tier of institutions eligible to apply for other grants that are available only to CTSA institutions.
