    Join the John Slade Ely House in recognizing the work of local painter Anna Held Audette with a solo retrospective exhibition of her works. Modern Ruins, which runs April 29 to May 27, takes a look at her paintings, prints and drawings over 50 years. Audette&rsquo;s paintings capture the somber beauty of our industrial past. She has taught at Southern Connecticut State University, and is a published author as well. The opening reception is Sun., April 29, from 2-5 p.m.
