Courant Names Internship In Memory Of Former Staff Writer Lisa Chedekel

The Courant announced Thursday that it is naming one of its annual summer newsroom internships in memory of former staff writer Lisa Chedekel, who died in January after battling cancer.

Chedekel, who worked at The Courant from 1992-2008, was known for her tenacity, thoroughness and dedication to the principle that righting wrongs was the heart of great journalism. Her work changed minds and influenced policy throughout the country, earning her numerous accolades along the way.
