Naked Stage bares 24 Hour Theatre Project
It's plenty dramatic, you have to admit that. The Naked Stage's 24 Hour Theatre Project is returning to West Palm Beach. The event will start at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, when eight local playwrights will get together and randomly select headshots of four actors and one director. Then, they will be given a list of ridiculous play titles. That night, they'll write a 10-minute play. On Monday, the play will be rehearsed and then presented onstage that evening. The eighth annual event is usually a fundraiser for the Naked Stage, a theatrical company operating in the Pelican Theatre on the campus of Barry University in Miami. This year, the proceeds will be donated to theater supporter Dana Castellano to help cover her medical costs as she fights stage 4 cervical cancer. This is the event's second time at Palm Beach Dramaworks' home, the Don and Ann Brown Theatre.
