St. John's College students in Annapolis begin fall semester Thursday

St. John's College will begin its fall semester on Thursday for 412 undergraduates and 45 graduate students. Upperclass students are expected to arrive on campus early this week, with 117 freshmen moving in on Wednesday. About 16 percent of the Class of 2019 is international, with students from China, Korea, Nepal, Germany, Iraq, and the Philippines. The Convocation ceremony for freshmen will be held at 4:15 Wednesday at Key Auditorium, where the students will be greeted by college President Christopher Nelson, and then they will walk across the stage and sign the college register. They then will receive a Greek Lexicon (dictionary), symbolic of the beginning of their studies....
