5. Sergio Garcia's envy of Tiger crosses racist lines

Congratulations Sergio Garcia.
Congratulations Sergio Garcia. You've managed to accomplish the unthinkable: Turn Tiger Woods into a sympathetic figure. Nothing trumps ignorance and/or racism, and you're now on the podium, along with one of the all-time greats, Fuzzy Zoeller....

7. Interview: Behind the snarl of CM Punk

When he blasted WWE's higher-ups on live TV, CM Punk had GQ, ESPN and "The Jimmy Kimmel Show" banging on his door. TMZ and CNN interviewed him about his recent Twitter feud with pop star Chris Brown. But on this particular March afternoon on the Blue Line — the train he takes to and fromO'Hare International Airport every week with the diamond-encrusted WWE Championship belt in his suitcase — Punk appears to have gone unrecognized by those sitting around him.

9. 'Dead Man Down' review: As well-constructed as its title

* (out of four)
* (out of four) Following "Stoker" and last year's "Bernie," "Dead Man Down" marks the second time in two weeks and the third time in 10 months that a movie has featured a dead body in a freezer. Criminals need new storage ideas. Perhaps they'd enjoy a...

11. A history of celebrity-owned restaurants in the Chicago area

The week before The Squared Circle opened in mid-March, owner and pro wrestler Lisa Marie Varon — better known as Victoria during her WWE days and Tara currently with TNA wrestling — sat in a corner booth of her Lincoln Park restaurant, conducting one of many interviews that month without having served a single gourmet burger or non-traditional pizza.

13. 50 Cent Fills The Boxing Impresario Bill

When the hands on the clock climb toward midnight at 50 Cent's Birthday Bash on July 5 at the Connecticut Convention Center. When the hands climb toward the actual birthday of Curtis James Jackson III, we may find it appropriate to consider three men who share his July 6 entry into the world.

15. Flying with Swan

When you travel as much as I do, you’re bound to run into the occasional luminary. In Cincinnati I’ve waited for the same plane as Gallagher, the comedian who smashes watermelons. Of course I covered myself in plastic and hid my bag of grapefruit immediately after I recognized him. At LaGuardia, I’ve run into former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo, the "Property Brothers" from HGTV and some dude who used to be in advertisements from Rambler cars back in the '60s. (He’s dead now, and might have been then, too?)

19. Interview: Pam Grier takes trip down memory lane, with fans' help

Pam Grier plans on taking a break from fan conventions and autograph signings for a while following her many movie theater and autograph show appearances in the Chicago area this weekend. It's not that the blaxploitation movie legend doesn't enjoy meeting fans. She calls the interaction “rewarding.” It's just that Grier appears to be next in line to get the Hollywood biopic treatment.

23. Cubs' Ryan Dempster puts teammates to work at casino-themed benefit, Charlie Sheen coming to Chicago, Tom Morello vs. Rahm Emanuel

How did Ryan Dempster convince his Cubs teammates to wear tuxedos and man the blackjack and craps tables at his charity event Wednesday, just hours after the team’s game against the Atlanta Braves?
