    In August FOX CT's Rachel Frank won the MADD About Dancing competition at Mohegan Sun.  The event featured eleven Connecticut celebrities who laced up their dance shoes for a good cause, to raise money for Mother's Against Drunk Driving.
Rachel trained with the Arthur Murray Dance Studio to get ready for the competition.

    As a Connecticut resident for most of her life, Crystal always desired to be an influential dance teacher and dancer. As a child Crystal enjoyed a variety of music genres. Mainly her Greek traditional music, salsa and mainstream music like Pop, Hip-Hop, and R&B. She was also strongly influence through musical theater. Her biggest influence was AIDA, Miss Saigon, FAME, the Nutcracker, and recent Pop goes to Vegas. Crystal has been dancing since the age of 4, starting at Limelight School of Dance CT and Studio 3. She is lively, passionate, and dedicated to bringing happiness to all her students at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Glastonbury.

  10. Daytrippers: Sheffield Island Lighthouse

    The Sheffield Island Lighthouse has stood steadfast for more than 140 years, a symbol of Connecticut's rich maritime history.  Built in 1868, this structure is nearly identical to other nearby lighthouses in Greenwich and Noank.  "It's one of six lighthouses that has the same architectural and engineering foundation to it," says Lighthouse Keeper, Greg Goomrigian who spends days and nights on the island in the summertime.  "This is my office.  When I wake up in the morning, I get a sunrise," smiles Goomrigian.  "And when I go to sleep at night, I get a sunset.  You can't beat it!"
