Williams, previously named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year, finished fourth in the league in scoring at 14.3 points per game, second in 3-point field-goal percentage (40.6), third in free-throw percentage (81.4) and 3-pointers made (2.1) and 13th in field-goal percentage (45.3). ...

Virginia's Courtney Bartholomew and Luke Papendick swept the Atlantic Coast Conference Women's and Men's Freshman of the Year honors, respectively.
In her first NCAA championship meet, Bartholomew won the consolation final of the 100 backstroke and placed 10th in the 200 back. She won both backstroke events in the ACC meet.
Papendick garnered his first All-America accolade in the 200 backstroke, winning the consolation final to finish ninth in 1:41.50, a Virginia record. He was second in the ACC meet, helping U.Va. win its sixth consecutive ACC team crown.
