Randall Bramblett, a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has worked with Steve Winwood, Gregg Allman, and Robbie Robertson, is heading for Suffolk where he's set to play a Sept. 22 fundraiser for Tidewater Arts Outreach.
In Suffolk, Bramblett will be backed by ODU jazz professor and pianist John Toomey, bassist Jimmy Masters, guitar player Larry Berwald, percussionist Tray Eppes and singer-songwriter Julie Clark.

AT THE SUFFOLK CENTER FOR THE CULTURAL ARTS
NORFOLK, Va. – (August 2012) – Tidewater Arts Outreach proudly presents “Randall Bramblett & Friends” in concert at the Suffolk Center for the Cultural Arts on September 22. TowneBank is generously underwriting this concert. Concert proceeds benefit Tidewater Arts Outreach, a Hampton Roads non-profit organization.
Randall Bramblett's solo career began in the mid ‘70s with two critically acclaimed albums on Polydor Records and has continued to the present with five strong solo releases in the last decade and an active touring schedule. His talent as a songwriter is well-known; his songs have been recorded by Bonnie Raitt, Widespread Panic, Jorma Kaukonen, Bonnie Bramlett, and Delbert McClinton.
Randall’s multi-instrumentalist skills landed him on the speed dial of some of the greatest names in rock history, including Steve Winwood, Levon Helm and Bonnie Raitt. His live performances confirm what the Allman Brothers, Widespread Panic, REM and others have attested to – Bramblett is one of the finest southern rock/soul players, ever.
The Suffolk concert event will feature a backing band comprised of some of Tidewater’s finest musicians: ODU Jazz professor/pianist John Toomey, upright bassist Jimmy Masters, guitarist Larry Berwald, percussionist/multi-instrumentalist Tray Eppes, and singer/songwriter Julie Clark.

Concert proceeds benefit the charitable work of Tidewater Arts Outreach (TAO). Tidewater Arts Outreach is a nonprofit organization founded in 2003 to bring music and arts to people who have special needs and who are in hospitals, retirement homes, rehabilitation centers, homeless shelters and other dependent care programs throughout Hampton Roads. TAO arts experiences promote human interaction, intellectual stimulation, happiness and healing for people who have limited access to the arts due to health, economic or social circumstances. Last year, nearly 8,500 people were reached through 289 Tidewater programs at more than 70 locations. Tidewater Arts Outreach supports the spirit of empathy and caring in the music and arts community, and hundreds of artists participate in its programs each year.
