Free Music Friday! Calm, soothing folk from Suzy Bogguss
Suzy Bogguss has recorded an album of folk standards called "American Folk Songbook." (Lotos Nile Media)
The result is her new album "American Folk Songbook," released earlier this month.
Her CD of classic American folk favorites -- recorded with Nashville acoustic pros including Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan and Jeff Taylor -- comes with a songbook to encourage family vocalizing. "That way, younger generations could share these slowly fading gems with their families and tell their stories of how they learned a few chords on guitar or a couple of favorites to play at family gatherings."
Today's free track, "Shenandoah," comes from the new Bogguss CD.
