Motorcycle driver, passenger killed in North Lauderdale crash

A motorcycle driver and his passenger were killed Saturday night when their motorcycle jumped a curb and hit a guardrail in North Lauderdale, ejecting both of them. The crash happened shortly before 11 p.m. along the 6100 block of West McNab Road, said Gina Carter, a spokeswoman for the Broward Sheriff's Office. The motorcycle drifted off the road, jumped a curb and hit a guardrail, ejecting the driver, Rafael Franco-Miranda, and his passenger, Jose Alfredo Vesquez, into the westbound lanes, Carter said. Vesquez was struck by a 1990 Honda Accord driven by Jazmine Edmondson, 21, of Margate. Miranda, 30, and Vesquez, 20, were pronounced dead at the scene by North Lauderdale Fire...
