Emma Mires recently finished midterms at the University of Maryland College Park, helping the Terps softball team finish the fall season 7-1. All this just five years after doctors weren't she would live, never mind walk again. It was around 10:30 p.m. June 11, 2009, when the car was riding in was hit head on.
