Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the driver of a BMW that struck and killed a pedestrian in a hit-and-run collision a year ago Thursday.
A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the conviction of the person, they said.
The collision happened on Van Buren Avenue near Bedford Avenue about 9:30 p.m. on May 11, 2016. Two pedestrians, including Jaime Lane, were struck by a gray BMW and taken to Norwalk Hospital, police said. Lane later died.
The BMW was believed to have front and right side damage and a missing right side mirror — which was found at the scene.
