To the editor:
I wonder if anyone is scratching their head on the President’s recent visit to Brazil and his comment that he was behind their oil exploration and that America was going to provide them with billions of dollars to assist them with technical advancements. He did not stop there; as he then went on to say that America will buy the oil it produces from Brazil.
Please keep in mind that the president’s mentor George Soros is heavily invested in the Brazilian oil industry. Now don’t you have to ask yourself why this president refuses to drill oil in our country, but is all too willing to invest heavily in foreign oil? Up appears to be down.
Now let’s look at the president’s EPA Department and its new regulations on mercury, which will cripple coal power plants, will cause job losses, and greatly increase the cost of energy. Once again part of his plan.
Coal companies cannot even get permits to create new jobs and produce coal that is sold here and abroad. This same EPA Department does not have any problem converting all our light bulbs to mercury filled bulbs, that I am sure will end up in some landfill somewhere, and I am sure there is no environmental hazard there.
Why do we want a president who is intent on destroying our country by raising prices, losing jobs, and regulating us into a third world country?
What is up is down with this president and we need to get rid of anyone who agrees with his policies at the ballot box and it starts with our local elections. We need the right people in place who are willing to do the right things to change our country back to a country that prides itself on being a hard working independent country that is a leader in the world.
If you are not willing to get involved and know who you are voting for, then higher prices, job losses, and regulations of everything in your life is alright with you. But if it is not, please know who is running for office and vote for those who do not believe in the president’s interpretation of change. Your children’s future is hanging by a thread. Elections have consequences even at the local level. Please know who you are voting for, and please vote.
