Tonya L. Zeigler, 53, of Friedens, passed on March 27, 2011, at her residence. Born Sept. 2, 1957, in Somerset, she is the daughter of the late Telford and Elma (Berkebile) Pugh. She is survived by her son Shaun Zeigler of Friedens; brothers Ronald Pugh and wife Charolett of Friedens and Richard Pugh and wife Sonya of Somerset; sister Vickie Baker and husband Victor of Mesa, Ariz.; nephew Mark Pugh of Somerset; and niece Carissa Baker of Mesa, Ariz. She is also survived by her best friends Susan and Mark Rankin, Cindy Walker, Susie Beal, and Cathy Foust. Tonya was employed by Siemon Lakeview Manor Heritage, where she worked as an aide. She was a loving and compassionate person and enjoyed caring for the elderly. She was very dedicated to the residents of The Heritage and will be sadly missed by all. Tonya was a member of the Beulah United Methodist Church. She was a past leader of the Brotherton Belles and Beaus 4-H Club, and was a member of the Tam O Shanter marching group. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset, where a service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, pastor Thomas Brown officiating.
