A Strawberry Festival will start at 4 p.m. May 18 at the Shade Creek Ridge Church of the Brethren,1623 Ridge Road, Hooversville. Free will donations will be accepted. The proceeds will benefit the orphans in Honduras program.
The Fireman’s Adventure Race June 1, includes a 5 kilometer walk/run through town that will also include some off-pavement terrain. The start and finish for the 5k will be at the Rockwood Fire Department. Breakfast food available in the morning and many lunch items available throughout the afternoon. The 202nd anniversary of the National Road will be celebrated at the 40th National Road Festival in Addison May 16-19. Humbertson one room school open, Addison Museum, Petersburg Tollhouse, wagon train, 1860s BaseBall at the ball field behind the cemetery, food, artists, Addison Apparitions, antique/classic car show.
